The Cowryman 042 is our first router plane designed around an L-shaped blade. It reaches confined corners, narrow grooves and tight mortises that are difficult to access with a conventional straight-blade router plane.

Large outward-angled wooden handles provide comfortable control, while the oversized depth-adjustment knob and depth-stop ring make repeated depth settings easier.

The 042 prioritizes access to corners and confined areas. For general-purpose work and easier sharpening, a straight-blade model such as the 003 or 040 may be more suitable.

Optional 3mm and 6mm L-shaped blades are sold separately and must not be confused with Cowryman straight replacement blades.
